Short description

Dive into a village drowned forty years ago. Hollowmere is a hand-drawn exploration puzzle game where you drain and flood rooms to move what floats, hunt for air pockets, and bring up sixty kept things that tell what happened here. No combat, no dying. Just the water, the bell, and the truth.

About this game

The lake rose. The village stayed.

Forty years ago the valley was flooded and the village of Hollowmere went under with its church, its mill and its school. You are the bell-diver sent …

Puzzles made of water

Open a sluice and a room drains; close it and the room floods. Everything that floats moves with the water: a chest rises to a doorway, a boat drifts …

Features

  • Five drowned districts to explore: church, mill, school, manor and the bell tower
  • Water-level puzzles: drain and flood rooms to move whatever floats
  • No combat, no death: air is the only clock, and you keep what you find

Sample copy · an invented game, written from the notes below

Three steps.

01

Send your notes

The design doc, the devlog, the itch page, the trailer link, the screenshots. Messy is fine; true is required.

02

We write every section

A short description under 300 characters, an About section in five headed parts, five features, the tags in order. Every claim traced to your notes.

03

Paste it in

A PDF and a text file with the store's own [h2] and [*] markup, the next day. You paste it into Steamworks; we never log in or upload. One free round of changes.

What you send, what you get.

What you send (an invented sample)
Hollowmere. 2D hand-drawn, you're a bell-diver in a drowned village, lake rose 40 yrs ago. Dive down, air is limited, find air pockets in the houses. Puzzles are about water level — you open sluices to drain/flood rooms and that moves floating objects around. About 6-8 hours. 5 districts (church, mill, school, manor, the bell tower at the end). No combat, no death — you just surface when air runs out and keep what you found. Collect 60 'kept things' (letters, toys, photos) that tell what happened to the village. Story told by the objects, no dialogue trees. Soundtrack by my brother (piano + field recordings from the actual lake). Controller + keyboard, Steam Deck tested. Demo is 45 min, first district. Windows, Linux later. Solo dev, 3 years. Not sure what to put in the short description, I keep writing 600 words.

About this game, five headed sections

“Puzzles made of water” — “Open a sluice and a room drains; close it and the room floods. Everything that floats moves with the water: a chest rises to a doorway, a boat drifts across a hall, a key…” Each section takes one thing from the notes and says it plainly; no adjectives the notes did not earn.

Five features, the tag list in order, and what we did not write

No combat, no death: air is the only clock, and you keep what you find. Tags from the store's public list, first five chosen for the shelf. A closing note lists what the notes could not support: no other game named, no award, no date. no other game named

A store-page writing gig starts around $20 to $45 and most of them write one section. The hard part is the 300-character short description and the five tags that decide which shelf you sit on. That is what this is, from your own notes.

  • A short description of 300 characters or fewer
  • About This Game in five headed parts, with the store's markup in the text file
  • Five feature bullets
  • A tag list in order from the store's public tag list, first five chosen for the shelf
  • A note of what we did not write and why
  • One free round of changes within a week

Send your notes.

You get an order code now and a card payment link by email. The copy comes the next day after you pay: a PDF and a plain-text file with the store's own [h2] and [*] markup, ready to paste. One free round of changes.

Three questions.

What exactly do I get?

Four things, the next day after payment: a short description of 300 characters or fewer; an About This Game section in five headed parts you can paste straight in, with the store's [h2] markup already in the text file; five feature bullets for the feature list; and a tag list in order, taken from the store's own public tag list, with the first five chosen for what the shelf shows beside your game. Plus a short note of what we did not write and why, so you know nothing was left out by accident. As a PDF and a plain-text file.

Will you make my game sound bigger than it is?

No, and the store rules agree with us. Every claim comes from your notes, trailer and screenshots; if the notes say six to eight hours, the copy says six to eight hours. No other game is named, not even as a comparison. No award, press or review quote appears unless you supply it word for word with who said it and where. No release date, price or platform is written that you did not give us. A short true page converts better than a long inflated one, and it does not get your page sent back.

What if I want changes?

One free round within a week: reword a section, swap a feature, reorder the tags, change the tone. Reply to the delivery email with the order code and the list. Copy for a second game, a DLC page or a translation is a new order. We never log into Steamworks or upload anything; you paste the text in, which takes about five minutes.
